She’s given me two extra measures of each lately. And I sure don’t deserve it. I love that lady and can’t wait to marry her!
Context:
Whit sings a song to my near-death vehicle and then justifies it by saying:
“I think cars are like flowers; you play music for them and they work better.”
So. Whit signed up for the Old Testament class that I’m enrolled in. She took a step down from grad school on high and decided to take a class with me.
I’m indescribably excited about this. We’ll get to see one another in a setting that we haven’t before. And we can be ‘study buddies.’ And she will be getting the benefit of Biblical education which, at Biola, would be a tragedy to waste!
It makes me smile just thinking about it!
Well. Orientation is (mostly) over and school starts tomorrow. We’ve both moved, for the last time, out of the homes of are parents. We both start school this week (Whit starts on Thursday). I feel like a quickly changing man, to be honest. No more folks’ house, God’s working on and in me, getting married in seven months. It feels nice.
But Whit and I got to hang out today and go grocery shopping. Twice. It feels nice to be a little bit domestic with one another. Definitely glad that my life is finally happening. But even gladder that OUR life is finally getting off the ground. Finally real.
…sigh… 🙂
Not only did she pass them – she CRUSHED them!
It’s not at all like I’m surprised. I’m not. But it still feels good to have your suspicions confirmed. I’m SO proud of Whitney and look forward to seeing what the next couple of years have in store for her. I love and admire and respect her now – and the next couple of years are sure to grow and stretch her even MORE!
Whit. I love you! I’m SO proud of you!!!!
And that’s all the reason I need. So THERE!
Plus – we’re getting married. And based on every wedding show we’ve ever seen, ours will be the best wedding ever. And the easiest to plan. Goodness I love that Whit and I are low maintenance!
