We went to some ‘tide pools’ yesterday in La Jolla. I was pretty disappointed, because there was nothing to see but some hermit crabs and chitins. But Whit explored and had fun and took pictures with her child-like smile and I had the best time just watching her have the best time 🙂
Context: Whit and I watching Twilight: New Moon (with Rifftrax!)
Me: So, wait. Do they drink human blood?
Whit: No. They eat animals and stuff. They don’t eat people. They’re vegetarians like that.
🙂
Whit and I cooked our first married dinner together. And it was delicious! Now off to take a shower and get to bed. Spring break has started. Honeymoon starts on Monday. So if you need anything from us, let us know now, because on Monday we begin radio silence 🙂
And now she’s put on one of those face cream masks. Our marriage has officially begun 🙂
It was a great wedding if I do say so. And I have the most beautiful bride any man has ever had. I am so thankful for Whitney every day. Okay – almost every day 😉
Whit, thanks for making me the luckiest man alive. I love you so much. We’re already two days into forever! 🙂

Whit taught her first lesson(s) yesterday and did a great job! It’s great to see her so encouraged. It’s not often that Whit is unsure of herself. But she seemed to be a little bit yesterday, but she had the department chair tell her how great she was and even had students thank her for the lesson! That’s an impossibly high compliment in a high school science (biology) class. To be thanked for a biology lesson? Pretty impressive.
I have to say – I was never doubtful. But it’s still awful nice to see it confirmed for her. She’s going to make a wonderful teacher. Look out, students!
One of those days that’s not as bad as a major tragedy, but much worse than nothing going your way. And it was topped off by that evil woman taking her cookie!
I’ll never take Whit’s cookie away from her!
