So, I got home from work and Whit had prepared…

1 – Muffin pizzas. They were perfect!! DELICIOUS!
2 – Yellow cake cupcakes, my favorite
3 – Some frozen dessert that I didn’t notice, since I didn’t go in the freezer. But I can’t wait to see what it is!!!

Whit knows 😉

May 28

So yesterday Whit graduated with an M.A. in teaching. With highest honors.

Did I mention she’s barely 23?

Anyhow. As I’ve said before, she works harder than anyone I know. She received 100% on her capstone project (it’s like a thesis, but involves research) and has already begun to endear herself to her students and affect their lives for the better.

She is a constant inspiration to me — someone to whom I look up and admire.

I love you, darlin’!!!

So…even though I left this place a MESS last night (working on an electronics project), Whit got up and got ready this morning – navigating through the rubble, and packed me a snack for work before she left. That’s love.

PS – Cleaning my mess right now…

Whitney works harder than anyone I know. She’s always early, she always does what she says she’ll do, and she works really hard in her life.

I really admire these qualities in her. While the rest of us find it easy to make excuses or put things off, she’s off doing the right thing. She is an example to us all.

Me – I was antagonizing Whitney…squishing her by lying on top of her…when, out of nowhere, she looks into my eyes and says…

Whit – You know, you’re just like a snowman.

Cam – What could you POSSIBLY mean by that?

Whit – You go wherever the HECK you WANT!

I still have no idea what she meant. I love that mind, but I’m so glad I don’t ever have to visit it 🙂

So. Whit and I are watching Iron Chef America: Battle Coconut.

One of the judges says something like, “Wow. Sometimes food with coconut really tastes like sun-tan lotion, but this doesn’t at all.”
Another judge replies, “Yeah. The opposite, in fact.”

The both of us, wondering what the opposite of sun-tan lotion could POSSIBLY be, issue our responses. Whitney’s was, “Moon…pale…brick.”

Me – So. Moon, I get. Pale, I get. But the opposite of “lotion” is…?…
Whit – Brick. Moon pale brick.

That’s my baby!

My oh my how they have gone. I met Whit and my life changed six years ago today. How could I have known that going to that star party I’d meet the woman who’d agree to have me forever? Shoot. Matt and I went to the wrong place and I HAPPENED to have Ritter’s number to get directions to the right place. THEN — we decided to make the drive to Murrieta. There are so many easy things that could’ve gone a little differently that would’ve resulted in my not having met Whit that night.

I’m so thankful for her. She’s always on my mind and I still can’t believe that she chose me.

I love her forever and ever. I can’t imagine life without her. Six years down, many more to come. I can’t believe how fast they’ve gone, but it also seems like I’ve always known Whit. Can’t believe it’s ONLY been six years and can’t believe it’s ALREADY been six years.

Love that Whit, I do!!!

Today is Whit’s 23rd. I’m SO proud of her and what she’d accomplished over the last year.

She sure makes it easy to celebrate her!

1 – There’s been some unexpected badness in our family. I’m so thankful that Whitney’s on my team. We’re something of a united front. I don’t know what I’d do without her (maybe I do, but I don’t like to think about it…)

2 – “How often do you WASH a baby?”
